I am so in love with these cute green peas! The little green smiling faces just make my day 🙂 So, I decided to turn them into this week’s freebie: the Malaysian Mom’s Peas In Pod Printable Pack for Kids 3-6 years old. Unlike the Dinosaur and Farm Printable Pack, I had change the format of this mini pack a little. This mini pack has lesser pages but feature some really interesting exercises.
There are three main focus of this week’s printable pack: alphabet matching skills, observation and concept of equality in mathematics and lastly number sequencing skills (from 1 to 30).
What’s in the Peas In Pod Printable Pack?
This mini pack consists of the following:
Alphabet matching game
This is a very fun way for kids to learn alphabet and slightly more challenging for beginners. Being able to “spot” the correct letter is a precursor to future reading skills.
Kids can learn to match uppercase with lowercase letters or just uppercase or just lowercase letters (similar to our popular Apple alphabet cards).
You can cut out the alphabet sets provided in the printable pack and let your child paste them onto these worksheets. Alternatively you may also cut out and paste the alphabet circles onto coins, counting chips or bottle caps so that your child can re-use the worksheets
Another option is to write the alphabets onto 13-19mm round stickers. Let your child peel and paste the stickers onto the worksheet. Peeling stickers are considered one of the excellent fine motor skill practice for young children. If you are interested, there are some nice printables similar to these from iheartcraftythings.com.
Pretty peas matching game
Your child will most probably enjoy matching the cute peas with various expressions in this pack. It’s truly learn and play.
Fun aside, the last two pages are number sequencing exercise for numbers 1 to 15 and 16 to 30 respectively. My five-year-old boy used to be really weak in numbers sequencing so we are working on this one. Does your child has similar problem too?
