My kids have been asking me about Halloween since they saw it being publicised so heavily on TV recently. However, Halloween is hardly ever celebrated where we stay. So, I thought about preparing these Halloween Letter Search Worksheets plus some other activities for them to do.
For the uninitiated, Halloween is celebrated on October 31, every year. It is a celebration that originates from Christian roots. Nowadays Halloween has become rather commercialised in some countries much like Valentine’s Day. Still, most kids love the idea of Halloween, what with all the dressing up, candies , trick or treating and of course the monsters as well as all the spooky stuffs.
Letter Search Worksheet #1
The first worksheet is in uppercase letters only and suitable for 3 to 4 years old who just started out with alphabets. Find all the matching letters for the word “HALLOWEEN” from the pumpkins at the lower part of the worksheet. I am using Do-A-Dot paints for my children.
Nonetheless, you may opt to use stamps, stickers or pom-poms. Colouring or just circling in the correct answer will do too. This exercise not just help to practice letter recognition but reinforce the idea that a word is spelled or read from left to right.

Letter Search Worksheet #2
The second worksheet in the Halloween Letter Search requires children to find the matching lowercase letters from the pumpkins for the word “HALLOWEEN” in uppercase. This is slightly more advance and is suitable for 4 to 5 years old.
In keeping with the fun spirit of Halloween, I had intentionally keep these worksheet sweet and short. Something that the kids can enjoy as part of a Halloween Party activity perhaps?
